‘I want to celebrate the immense beauty of animals and nature.’

Ninon looks for connection with an all embracing energy, that is of all times and all places. She believes, that if she is able to create her sculptures through the connection with this natural force, her work will respond to a universal truth expressing harmony, power, sensuality and life. Therefore her art seems to be both primitive and modern.
The best way for Ninon to live nature, is on horseback, always accompanied by her dog Shanti. Ninon is fascinated by the way everything is connected, and she tries to find similarity in all living beings.
Her wish to get to know different landscapes, animals and cultures made her travel. She crossed the Andes on horseback, crossed the jungle, the desert, and touched whales in the ocean.
´A tourist knows where he is going, but he does not know where he has been. A traveller does not know where he is going, but he knows where he has been’. Ninon tries to live like a traveller, and to translate her observations into the essence of her art.
Ninon (Holland) studied Sculpture and Painting at the Academy of Art Minerva in Holland and then studied Cultural Journalism at the University of Amsterdam.
