This dolphin fountain was commissioned for a beautiful sculpture garden in The Netherlands. The owner asked Ninon to make a fountain, with the only specification being that the sound of falling water would be heard.

Ninon came up with the idea of making two dolphins, and together with the client agreed on how to make a pond and water system in the garden. Ninon was living in Spain at the time, and so made the sculpture in collaboration with a bronze foundry in Barcelona. The client was happy to let Ninon make the artwork completely free to her own imagination, and only saw the dolphin fountain for the first time when it arrived at his home, brought to him directly from Spain. He loves the artwork and to this day the dolphins are still happily spraying water in his garden.
