'Gorilla' was commissioned by a client who was looking for a gift for their brother, who loves gorillas and has a residence in Sao Tome & Principe where gorillas live in the wild. This gorilla was made out of clay, baked at 1300 degrees Celsius and then given a layer of bronze/metallic coating. Baking the clay at such a high temperature causes it to become so strong that the sculpture can be either inside or outside.
